Fires Flare as Smoke Spreads From California Wildfires to Oregon and Nevada

The National Weather Service reports that wildland fire activity was reported with six new large fires nationally, but California remains the most active state with 27 large fires and 409,046 acres burned.

Getting Dressed-What You Will Need:
As a beginner, you don't need to spend a lot of money to enjoy yourself and be comfortable. The most important things to remember are to wear water resistant/proof coat & pants (no jeans), and to dress in layers for maximum warmth. Socks should be light to medium weight and do not wear more than one pair!
Make sure you have gloves or mittens and a hat (over 60% of your body heat can escape from an uncovered head). Don't forget to wear sunglasses or goggles, and sunblock & lip balm!

Cooper Spur

The Ski Area at Cooper Spur Mountain offers skiing and snowboarding, instruction, cross country skiing, a tubing center; a double chair lift and three rope tows with ten runs and night lighting.

Mt. Hood Meadows offers the most spectacular and varied terrain in the Northwest. We have a huge mountain with terrain for everyone, magnificent views and snowfall beyond belief.

Spout Springs Ski Area

Spout Springs Ski Area is a ski resort located in the Blue Mountains of eastern Oregon. The resort has two fixed double chair lifts. Most of the terrain is easy to moderate in difficulty.
