NBA Playoffs: Spurs Rebound to Tie Series with Nuggets

SAN ANTONIO - The Spurs' stars rebounded from their poor shooting in Game 1 to lead San Antonio to a 97-88 Game 2 victory over the visiting Nuggets on Wednesday.

Tim Duncan led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and five blocks, while Tony Parker contributed 20 points and six assists.

Manu Ginobili was also able to get back on track, scoring eight of his 17 points in the fourth period.

The Nuggets sliced a 17-point, fourth-quarter deficit to three with 45 seconds remaining on an Allen Iverson 3-pointer, but wouldn't get any closer.

Carmelo Anthony anchored Denver's attack, posting 26 points and 10 boards, while Iverson finished with 20 points and three steals. Marcus Camby collected 10 points, 18 rebounds, three blocks and two steals.

The Spurs were able to to outscore the Nuggets by eight from the line and hold Denver to 39 percent shooting from the field.

San Antonio will look to win back home-court advantage in Game 3 on Saturday in Denver at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN.
