CORVALLIS - Oregon State is ranked No. 8 in this week’s USA Today/ESPN baseball coaches poll.

The Beavers (23-6 overall, 0-3 Pacific-10) slipped in the poll after opening their Pac-10 schedule by being swept at 18th-ranked Arizona.

In the other national polls released on Monday, Oregon State is ranked ninth by Baseball America magazine and Collegiate Baseball newspaper and 10th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

OSU will play host to Southern California (18-12, 1-2) this weekend in a Pac-10 series at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field.

Due to this being Easter weekend, the series is played one day ahead of the schedule for a normal Pac-10 series; the games between OSU and USC will be Thursday at 5:00 PM, Friday at 5:00 PM and Saturday at noon. All three games are sold out.

All three games between the Beavers and Trojans can be heard live on KEJO-AM (1240) in the Corvallis area, KUIK-AM (1360) in the Portland area, KKNX-AM (840) in the Eugene area and KICE-AM (940) in the Bend area.

They can also be heard in Spanish live on the LaX Sports network, with all three games being carried by KXQR-AM (660) in the Eugene area and the Friday and Saturday games also being carried by KXPD-AM (1040) in the Portland area and KLES-FM (101.7) in the Yakima, Wash., area.
