Oregon, Oregon State Meet in Softball Civil War

Oregon State (28-11, 2-1) enters this weekend ranked 17th nationally.

EUGENE - Throw the rankings and records out the window, this is the Civil War series, and bragging rights are on the line.

Oregon, currently ranked 10th in the nation, gets to host the Beavers in the first two contests of the three-game series, beginning at 3:00 PM, Fri., at Howe Field.

The second game will be played at 1:00 PM, on Sat., with the third and possible series-deciding game is set for Wed., April 25th in Corvallis.

Not only are two points on the Civil War scorecard up for grabs for the winner of the series (Oregon currently hold a 7-6 overall lead) the games are critical for the Ducks in Pac-10 play.

Oregon State (28-11, 2-1) enters this weekend ranked 17th nationally after dropping its conference opener to Stanford before rebounding with two victories over Cal.

Live stats will be provided for both games on www.GoDucks.com.

In addition, if you are not able to make it out to Howe Field, CNW 14 will broadcasting Friday's game live, as well as a live online video stream on the O-Zone.

Erick Olsen and John Strong will broadcast Saturday's game on KWVA along with the O-Zone live video feed.

Weekend Promotions

During this upcoming weekend the Ducks will be offering reduced ticket prices courtesy of Bi-Mart.

Both games against Oregon State will be a Bi-Mart $2 Day.

Fans can visit any local Bi-Mart and pick up a voucher good for a $2 admission.

Turn in the voucher at the Howe Field ticket window the day of the game to receive the discount.

It’s the Pac-10

Undoubtedly the most competitive conference in the nation, not one Pac-10 team went undefeated in their opening weekend series.

Five teams; Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon, Oregon State and Stanford ended their series with 2-1 records, while UCLA and Washington finished 1-2. Cal was the only team to finish with out a victory, 0-3.
