Western Oregon - Willamette to Tangle at Volcanoes Stadium

The two schools have not met since the 2001 season.

KEIZER - Western Oregon and Willamette will play a non-conference baseball game on Tuesday, at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.

Start time for the contest is 6:00 PM.

Ticket prices are $4 for adults and $4 for students with student identification. Children under 12 years of age are free. Parking in the Volcanoes lot will also be free of charge.

“This is a great way for our two teams to play in a community feature game at a professional and neutral site,” said WOU athletic director Jon Carey.

Western Oregon, an NCAA Division II team and a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, used Volcanoes Stadium as its host site last spring for the west region championships.

Willamette, an NCAA Division III squad, plays in the Northwest Conference.

The two schools have not met since the 2001 season. Western Oregon leads the all-time series, 36-31.

Willamette will play two other times at Volcanoes Stadium this year -- on April 25th versus Corban College and on April 26th against Lewis & Clark.
