Volcanoes Sweep Series With AquaSox

EVERETT, Wash. - Salem-Keizer Volcanoes catcher Adam Witter led the charge with his two homeruns and four RBI, as the Volcanoes defeated the Frogs 13-4 Thursday night at Everett Memorial Stadium.

Designated hitter Matt Weston was another key component in the Salem-Keizer going 2-for-3 with 3 RBI. Reliever Steven Calicutt pitched three scoreless innings of one hit ball. He struck out three on his way to his second save.

Left fielder Gavin Dickey went 2-for-4 with a solo homerun while third baseman Leury Bonilla 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Each of the three Frog pitchers gave up an earned run and combined for only three strikeouts.

Everett committed three errors leading to four unearned.

With the win Salem-Keizer improves to 34-17; Everett, with the loss, falls to 24-27.
