MONMOUTH - Western Oregon's 2006 soccer roster will feature some talented newcomers, combining with 13 returning letterwinners this fall.

Recent commitments to the program include heralded incoming freshmen Kylee Krous and Sarah Skotte. Krous, a forward/midfielder from Vancouver, Wash., was a first team Greater St. Helen's League pick in 2005 while at Hudson's Bay High School.

She was a four-year starter, and starred for three seasons with the Columbia Premiere Soccer Club.

Skotte was the Intermountain League Player of the Year while at Mountain View High School in Bend last fall.

The midfielder was also a second team all-state selection (4A) and a team captain for two seasons. In addition, she was a starter on the Oregon Olympic Development team from 2002-04.

Krous and Skotte join a recruiting class of seven that includes Claire Pendleton, a first team All-Pac 9 pick from Canby.

Eight starters also return for coach Rod Fretz.

The Wolves open its season on August 26th, at home, against Sonoma State (4:00 PM).
