KEIZER - Here is a weekly round-up on the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes from the NWL.

THE WEEK THAT WAS: The Volcanoes couldn't have been better last week, going 6-0 and raising their record to a league-leading 36-17.

WHO'S HOT: Obviously, the team, and even more surprisingly, its hitting. The Volcanoes have collectively hit .306 over their last 10 games, and .326 over their last five.

WHO'S NOT: SS Brian Bocock has been unable to follow suit, hitting just .111 in his last eight games and is hitless in his last 11 at-bats.

PLAYER TO WATCH: SS Emmanuel Burriss is on a roll, hitting .429 in his last four games, including six hits and two RBIs.

PERFORMANCE OF THE WEEK: This is a first, but the entire team has earned performance of the week honors after outscoring its opponents 48-11 while rolling off six straight wins.
