PASCO, WA - Steven Calcutt and three relievers combined on a three-hitter as visiting Salem-Keizer shut down Tri-City, 7-1, for its 10th straight win on Thursday. Mike McBryde went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Christopher Todd had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. McBryde tripled home two runs off Tri-City starter Aneury Rodriguez (3-3) in a three-run third to give the Volcanoes a 4-1 lead. Calcutt gave up an unearned run on two hits and struck out four in three innings, lowering his ERA to 1.72. Clayton Tanner (2-2) allowed one hit and struck out three over three scoreless frames. Jared Cranston struck out the side and walked two in the seventh before Paul Oseguera retired all six batters he faced as the Volcanoes (40-17) didn't allow a hit over the last five frames. The Dust Devils (30-27) scored in the second when Daniel Mayora led off with a double and came home on shortstop Emmanuel Burriss' two-out error. Rodriguez was charged with six runs -- four earned -- on seven hits and three walks in four innings.
