Yakima Rallies Past Volcanoes, 9-5

KEIZER - Joey Side hit a two-run double and Edwin Roman added a two-run single in the seventh inning as Yakima rallied for a 9-5 road win over Salem-Keizer on Sunday.

The Bears (17-30) trailed, 5-2, heading to the seventh, but Salem-Keizer reliever Clayton Tanner (1-2) loaded the bases on a single and two walks. With two outs, Side hit his ninth double and Roman singled to put Yakima in front, 6-5.

Cyle Hankerd's RBI single capped the five-run rally.

Brad Miller hit a two-run homer as part of a three-hit night and Hankerd finished with three RBIs as the Bears won for the fourth time in five games.

Reliever Daryl Arreola (2-1) gave up a run on two hits in one inning for the win. Jorge Perez pitched the eighth and ninth to record his first save.

Robert Felmy drove in two runs and Bradley Boyer went 3-for-4 with his fourth triple for Salem-Keizer (30-17).
