CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University senior wide receiver/punt returner Sammie Stroughter and junior offensive guard Jeremy Perry have been named to the CBS Sportsline Second Team All-American squads.

Stroughter already holds the school record for punt returns for touchdowns with three and is coming off a 2006 season that featured him earning Associated Press Third Team All-American honors.

The Sacramento native is 10th at OSU for career receiving yards with 1,351 and will likely break into OSU’s top-10 career mark for receptions (79) this season.

Perry has started 23 career games for the Beavers, but missed last December’s Sun Bowl after suffering a knee injury near the end of the team’s 35-32 win at No. 24 Hawaii.

The Hau’ula, Hawaii native was a first team All-Pac-10 Conference selection in 2006 and the league’s co-Freshman of the Year in 2005.

Perry is a member of the preseason "watch lists" for the Outland and Lombardi Awards.

Oregon State continues preparation for the 2007 season with practices at the Tommy Prothro Football Complex.

The 2007 season opener is Thurs., Aug. 30 against the Utah Utes at Reser Stadium. The game will be televised live by FSN Northwest beginning at 7 p.m.
