Minnesota Added to Future Oregon State Football Schedules

Minnesota represents the second Big Ten program to appear on OSU’s future schedules.

CORVALLIS - The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers have been added to two future football schedules, Oregon State University Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis announced Thursday.

The Beavers and Gophers are scheduled to play the first game of a two-year series Sept. 13, 2014 in Minneapolis at the yet-to-be-completed TCF Bank Stadium. Minnesota will return to Corvallis Sept. 12, 2015 at Reser Stadium. The programs have met three times, all in Minneapolis, with Minnesota winning the last match-up 42-12 during the 1981 season. The Gophers have won two of the three games.

Minnesota represents the second Big Ten program to appear on OSU’s future schedules. The Beavers and the University of Wisconsin Badgers are slated to play in 2011 in Madison and 2013 in Corvallis.

“We are very excited at the opportunity to have Minnesota visit Corvallis,” Oregon State University Director of Athletics Bob De Carolis said. “A home-and-home series with an opponent from such a strong conference as the Big Ten is a big plus for our program.”

Oregon State will announce its complete 2007 12-game schedule in the near future.
