MONMOUTH - Western Oregon will face two teams looking for revenge this week.

Western Washington will be especially agitated, after being on the losing end of the biggest upset of the season in the GNAC, when they lost at WOU 84-77 on Jan. 20th in Monmouth.

The Vikings are now 16-6 on the year and sit 8-3 in conference play, just one-half game behind league leader Seattle Pacific.

WWU split games with the Alaska schools at home last week, and saw a 26-game home win streak snapped with the loss to Anchorage.

The Vikings have won five of six since losing to the Wolves, and were ranked fourth in last week’s west region poll.

Mollie Stelmack leads the Vikings with 16.4 points a game, and she had 28 on Saturday during a 41-point win over Alaska Fairbanks.

Liz McCarrell adds 11.6 points a contest and center Krystal Robinson scores at a 10.9 clip and has swatted 68 shots this year.

Although the Wolves won the match-up between the two teams earlier this season, WWU has a large advantage in the all-time series, 29-7.

Saint Martin’s snapped an eight-game losing streak on Saturday with a 73-67 upset of Northwest Nazarene, improving to 2-9 in GNAC play.

The Wolves topped the Saints 73-68 on Jan. 25th, despite 23 points from Jessi Reome.

Reome leads the Saints on the season with 10.5 points a game, while Whitney Golub is the leading rebounder at 7.9.

While SMU in winless on the road this year, they are pretty good at home, now with a 4-5 record in games at the SMU Pavilion.

Saint Martin’s leads the all-time series versus the Wolves, 18-11.
