MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho women`s soccer coach Pete Showler has signed six high school seniors to letters-of-intent to attend the University of Idaho and play soccer for the Vandals next fall.

The signees include Anna Edmonds from South Salem High School.

Edmonds, a forward, spent 10 years with the Cascade FC “Tempest” in Salem, and had over 100 goals and 50 assists in her career.

She also was a Y League ODP Selection for the Northwest Region and was invited to an ODP National Camp at Florida in 2006.

At South she was a first team all-state selection in 2006 and 2007 and was the Valley League Offensive Player of the Year over those two years.

She also earned first team all-league honors in 2006 and 2007.

She scored 22 goals and had 10 assists as a senior, 13 goals and three assists as a junior, and 15 goals and 10 assists as a sophomore.

“Anna is a tremendous athlete who is strong with a great work ethic. She is a forward who scores consistently, has great on-ball presence, and is very strong on the front line. She is a three-sport varsity athlete at the 6A level, which shows the athletic quality she brings to the team,” Showler said.
