Warriors to Host Cavs in Opening Round of CCC Playoffs

SALEM - Corban's women's basketball team will host the opening round of the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament against the tournament's No. 7-seeded Cavaliers of Concordia beginning at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

Thanks to an identical 15-3 regular season conference record with Eastern Oregon, the Warriors failed to win the coin flip that decided the conference's automatic berth to the NAIA Division II national tournament.

Nonetheless, Corban shared the regular season conference title with the Mountaineers and are riding a season-high eight-game winning streak heading into the playoffs.

Fifth-year head coach Dave Bale will be at the helm of the Warriors for the final time during the post-season tournament, as he has led Corban to the playoffs in five straight seasons and has a win-loss record of 6-3 with one conference tournament title in 2005.

If Corban defeats Concordia then they will host a semi-final game on Friday, February 23rd, beginning at 7:30 PM against the tournament's third highest remaining seed.
