ON TELEVISION:

Oregon State’s games can be heard live on the radio on the Beaver Sports Network (which includes 18 stations throughout the Northwest, including KEX 1190 AM in Portland/Salem and KEJO 1240 in Corvallis/Albany.

WASHINGTON SERIES:

Washington leads the all-time series, 144-134.

The 278 meetings are the third-most between two schools in NCAA Division I history.

The Huskies have won three straight in the series.

OSU has won one of the last seven games (at home in 2004-05).

Looking back a little farther, however, the Beavers have won eight of the last 15 meetings.

OSU is 42-23 against UW in Gill Coliseum.

LAST GAME VS. WASHINGTON:

Back on Jan. 27th, the Beavers got off to a good start in their game at Washington, but the end result was a 91-74 loss.

OSU led by as many as six points and was up 34-33 with under three minutes to play, but the Huskies went into halftime with a 41-38 advantage.

The first 12 minutes of the second half was all UW, as the Huskies took their biggest lead at 25 points.

Josh Tarver played perhaps his best game at OSU with a season-high 22 points and seven assists.

The Beavers actually shot 52.8% from the field, although UW shot 52.5% and had a 41-23 rebounding edge.

Free throws were a problem, as OSU shot 37.5% (12-for-32) and UW shot 88.0% (22-for-25).

WASHINGTON STATE SERIES:

OSU leads the all-time series, 161-112.

The 161 victories are the sixth-most by one team over another in NCAA Division I history.

The 273 games are the fourth-most between two teams in NCAA Division I history.

The Beavers have won 12 of the last 16 games between the schools and have won eight straight at home (the last Cougar win here was in 1998).

This appears to be the first time a ranked WSU team has ever visited Gill Coliseum.

LAST GAME VS. WASHINGTON STATE:

Back on Jan. 25th, poor shooting cost the Beavers, as they may have missed an opportunity to beat #20 Washington State on the road in a 70-55 loss at Friel Court.

Although OSU shot only 36.1% from the field, it was at the foul line where the game was decided.

The Beavers made just 6-of-19 foul shots (31.6%), compared to 22-for-30 (73.3%) for the Cougars.

OSU had one stretch where it missed nine consecutive free throws.

After holding a 17-11 lead with less than nine minutes left in the first half, OSU went cold and trailed 30-23 at halftime.

It was still a five-point game (52-47) with under eight minutes to play and a seven-point game (62-55) with a little more than three minutes to go, but WSU pulled away from there.

Sasa Cuic scored a team-high 17 points and Marcel Jones added 14.

RANKED OPPONENTS:

The Beavers are trying to beat a ranked opponent for the fourth consecutive year, but they’re running out of time.

So far, it’s been difficult and OSU is 0-8 against ranked teams.

The last time OSU played more games in one season against ranked teams was 2001-02 (10 games).

At home this season, OSU has lost to #24 Nevada, #12 LSU (the last time OSU hosted two ranked non-conference opponents in one season was 1957-58), #20 Oregon (the last time OSU played three ranked opponents before the end of December was 1977-78), #1 UCLA (OSU fell to 2-26 all-time against top-ranked teams) and #24 Arizona.

On the road, the Beavers have lost at #10 Arizona (their 25th straight loss in Tucson), #20 Washington State and #5 UCLA.

LAST GAME:

In one of the most entertaining games of the year, the Beavers rallied to take California to overtime but the Golden Bears pulled out an 84-80 win at Haas Pavilion on Saturday.

OSU led by as many as six points in the first half before settling for a 27-26 halftime lead, but the Golden Bears built a 13-point lead with 12 1/2 minutes to go.

The Beavers fought back and nailed three three-pointers in the final 30 seconds of regulation, including an Angelo Tsagarakis trey at the buzzer, which tied the game at 71-71.

In OT, the Golden Bears scored the first six points and couldn’t be caught.

Jack McGillis played his best game ever, scoring a career-high 24 points with five three-pointers before he fouled out late in regulation.

TICKETS:

Tickets for all remaining Pac-10 games cost $20 for chair seats and $12 for bench seats.

They can be purchased by calling (800) GOBEAVS, by going on-line to www.osubeavers.com or by visiting the ticket office in Gill Coliseum.
