LOS ANGELES - Arron Afflalo scored 17 points to lead No. 5 UCLA over No. 9 Oregon 69-57 Thursday night to gain sole possession of first place in the Pac-10.

The Bruins (19-2 overall, 8-2 Pac-10) and the Ducks (19-3 overall, 7-3 Pac-10) came in tied atop the conference standings.

The victory avenged UCLA's 68-66 loss at Oregon -- its first of the season -- on Jan. 6th that knocked the Bruins out of the nation's No. 1 ranking.

Bryce Taylor scored 17 points to lead Oregon.

Aaron Brooks, the Pac-10’s leading scorer was held to just 14 points.

Darren Collison added 12 points and Josh Shipp 11 for the Bruins, who were coming off a 75-68 loss at Stanford.

The tough L.A. trip continues on Saturday when the Ducks visit USC’s new Galen Center for the first time.

The Oregon Sports Network will televise the Ducks-Trojans game live throughout the state at 12:30 PM.
