SAN DIEGO - University of Oregon redshirt freshman Jennifer Salling paced the Ducks’ season-best 14-hit attack with a 4-4 afternoon, in addition to scoring three runs and driving in six RBIs, to lead her team to a five-inning 13-0 win over Siena College Friday afternoon in the first game of the Aztec Invitational.

The Ducks scored all the runs they would need in the opening frame to post their 11th-consecutive victory and improve their record to 11-1.

Siena dropped to 0-1.

Salling drove in one run in the first inning with a triple to left center field and scored when Neena Bryant hit her second home run of the year.

Salling singled and scored in the second, smacked a three-run homer in the third and hit a two-run triple in the fourth to account for her team’s final tallies.

The home run was Salling’s second of the season as she elevated her team-high RBI total to 18.

Bryant contributed three hits in four at bats to the cause in addition to scoring two runs and driving in four.

Sophomore Melissa Rice allowed only three hits in four innings of work to improve her record to 5-0.
