No. 13 Oregon Looks to Rebound Against ASU, No. 24 Arizona

EUGENE - Following perhaps the most ardous trip in the country -- four straight road games against four potential NCAA Tournament teams (Washington, Washington State, UCLA and USC) games -- No. 13 Oregon (19-4, 7-4 Pac-10) returns home for five of its last seven games.

This week, the Ducks host Arizona State (6-16, 0-11 Pac-10)on Thursday at 5:30 PM, followed by No. 24 Arizona (15-7, 6-5 Pac-10) on Saturday at 12:30 PM.

Malik Hairston needs one more point to reach 1,000 points in his career.

When he does, he and Aaron Brooks will become just the fourth Duck teammates with 1,000 career points to appear on the same floor.

In all four losses this season, Oregon has allowed its opponent to shoot better than 50 percent from the field.

In the Ducks’ 19 wins, opponents have topped 50 percent just twice.

In other words, Oregon is 17-0 when the opponent shoots below 50 percent from the field and 2-4 when foes top 50 percent.

Already assured of the 56th winning season in program history (102 seasons), the Ducks are now seeking the 11th 20-win season in school history and the fourth under Ernie Kent.

Oregon is 4-1 against top 25 teams in 2006-07, having knocked off No. 18 Georgetown (Nov. 29th), No. 1 UCLA (Jan. 6th), No. 10 Arizona (Jan. 14th) and No. 20 Washington State (Jan. 27th).

The Ducks last defeated four ranked teams in the same year during the 2001-02 season, when Oregon beat six ranked foes on the way to the Pac-10 Championship.

The Ducks last toppled two top 10 teams in 1976-77 (No. 7 UCLA, No. 3 UCLA).

All five starters are scoring in double figures.

Limited tickets remain on sale for two of Oregon’s five remaining home games, including Arizona State.

Arizona State: The Oregon Sports Network will televise the Arizona State game live in the State of Oregon.
