Oregon State Wins First Pac-10 Game by Downing ASU, 67-59

The Beavers return home to Corvallis next week for a pair of games between California on Thursday and Stanford on Saturday.

TEMPE, Ariz - Oregon State won it's first Pac-10 game of the season and snapped a four game losing streak, as the Beavers defeated Arizona State 67-59 Saturday.

Marcel Jones scored 19 points and had 12 rebounds, while Sasa Cuic added 20 points for the Beavers (9-9 overall, 1-4 Pac-10), who overcame an eight-point second half deficit to earn their first victory at Wells Fargo Arena since 1998.

Jeff Pendergraph scored 19 points and pulled down 10 boards and Christian Polk and Derek Glasser added 10 points apiece for ASU.

For the Sun Devils (6-11 overall, 0-6 Pac-10), it was their seventh straight loss, and ASU is off to it's worst conference start since 2000-01.

The Beavers return home to Corvallis next week for a pair of games between California on Thursday and Stanford on Saturday.

The game against the Golden Bears is set for 7:30 PM.

The Stanford game is set to begin at 5:00 PM.

Both games are scheduled to be televised on FSN-NW.
