Senior Jenny Kuehn made a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 comeback for the win over No. 42-ranked Amanda Taylor at the No. 1 postition to clinch the team win for Michigan.

The Wolverines began the season as the No. 29 ranked team in the nation and moved up seven spots thanks to the victory.

Scouting Sacramento State:

The No. 63 Hornets head north after a sweep at the hands of No. 11 California.

The No. 1 position was the only match in question as freshman Katrina Zheltova took the No. 3 ranked player in the nation, Golden Bear Susie Babos to a decisive super tiebreak after winning the second set, before falling 6-2, 4-6, (7).

They will face Washington on Saturday before making the trip down to Eugene.

Last Time Out:

Coming off of the six hour marathon against Alabama, the Ducks responded by pasting the No. 44 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, 6-1. The Ducks easily swept the doubles point and cruised to victory in the singles.

Ana Cecilia Olivos was the only Duck to fall, as she was bested by Shelley Goodwin, 6-1, 6-2.

Carmen Seremeta was forced to three sets, but rebounded from an early match letdown to beat Nicole Briceno 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Once the match was in hand, Claudia Hirt finished off her opponent in a super tiebreak, 6-0, 3-6 (4).

Ranked Ducks:

Dominika Dieskova and Ana Cecilia Olivos enter the season ranked as the No. 28 ranked doubles team in the nation.

Due to lack of results in the fall due to injury, Dieskova, ranked as the preseason No. 26, is not currently ranked.

The Greatest?:

Senior Dominika Dieskova has now moved into first all-time on Oregon’s career matches played list with 123, passing the previous record of 120 held by Alina Wygonowska.

The Bratislava, Slovakia native needs 16 wins to move into first place all-time in career wins, easily a possibility given that she has averaged 26 wins over the last two years.
