Jan-31-2007 11:57Eastern Oregon Women Rout WWC, 73-18Salem-News.com SPORTSNormal starters Christie Weaver, Whitney Leman and Tiffanie Ulmer got the night off in preparation for this weekends conference games.
WALLA WALLA, Wash. - With the usual starters playing little to no minutes, EOU started the game on a 20-0 run and never looked back. The Mounties defeated Walla Walla 73-18 for a non conference win, bringing their record to 18-5.
Reserve wing Laura Olson got the start tonight and made the most of her opportunity, scoring 19 points and pulling down 4 rebounds in 35 minutes of action. Freshman Salena Leavitt also found herself in the starting line-up and responded with 11 points, 5 boards and 3 assists.
Amanda Matson, Laura Gyllenburg and Candice Davis rounded out the starting line-up for the Mounties. Matson finished with 8 points and a team high 6 rebounds. Davis also scored 8 points and added 5 boards meanwhile, Gyllenburg played 35 solid minutes at the point totaling 5 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds.
Normal starters Christie Weaver, Whitney Leman and Tiffanie Ulmer got the night off in preparation for this weekends conference games. Liz Brice and Sheena Henderson came off the bench and saw limited action, scoring 12 and 6 points respectively
The Mountaineers will host CascadeCollege and Warner Pacific Friday and Saturday nights in Quinn Coliseum. Game times are set for 5:30 PM.
