QUOTES FROM OSU COACH JAY JOHN

“We were horrible, and I feel the University of Southern California was fantastic. They have been playing better and better since Pruitt has come back. The number of scores they were able to put up from the get-go made it difficult for us to defend.”

“USC shot the ball better tonight then I have seen them do. I also think we were nowhere near the same energy or passion level as Thursday against UCLA. It was like we were completely drained. You cannot play college level basketball without passion and energy, and we did not have either of those.”

“It was obvious the UCLA game took a lot out of us. The kids were tired.”

“We haven’t been shooting the ball real well. They sagged off us. It was difficult to get the ball inside where we were trying to go because they were off our perimeter people so much. We couldn’t hit the outside shots to get people to come out and guard us.”

QUOTES FROM USC COACH TIM FLOYD

“It always looks so much better when you shoot it well. We shot such a phenomenal percentage today. All of our guys off the bench played very solid and gave a great effort.

It’s always difficult playing the backend of a turnaround on the road. We were concerned coming in because of the way they (OSU) played LSU, UCLA for a half and Oregon.”

“We are not as good as we were tonight. We caught them in their worst game.”

(on Lodrick Stewart) “It takes it to another level. He is a very capable shooter and he got in a real rhythm tonight. He needed to after not shooting particularly well against Washington or Washington State.”
