SALEM - Senior Nate Morris and sophomore Kyle Masten paced the Warriors with 16 points each on a combined 10-for-19 shooting from the field, but it was not enough as Corban's men's basketball team fell to the Geoducks of Evergreen State, 86-72, on Friday.

After spending most of December at home playing six straight home games, Corban opened the New Year on the road.

A change of scenery did not end the Warriors' winless drought, as Corban dropped its 12th straight contest this season.

The Warriors opened the game shooting 12-for-27 (44.4%) from the field and trailed by a mere four points (37-33) at half time.

Unfortunately, Corban could into overcome a hot shooting second half by the host Geoducks, as Evergreen turned in a 16-for-27 (59.3%) performance from the field en route to securing the double-digit victory.

Morris and Masten combined to score 32 of Corban's 72 points, as Morris shot 5-for-8 from the field and Masten was 5-for-11 from the field. Both guards connected on three shots from beyond the 3-point line, while each made a trio of free throws.

Senior Kevin Van Hook and sophomore Jason Braun poured in 13 and 11 points respectively, while senior Brad Reynoso and junior J.D. Hill chipped in with 5 points each.

Braun came off the bench for the first time this season to pull down a team-best 6 rebounds, while Hill and junior Hannes Gehring grabbed 5 and 4 boards respectively.

As a team, Corban shot 22-for-50 (44.0%) from the field, including 19-for-25 (76.0%) from the free throw line.

Meanwhile, Evergreen shot 31-for-60 (51.7%) from the field, including 13-for-24 (54.2%) from beyond the 3-point line.

Evergreen was paced by Adam Moore's game-high 27 points on 10-for-13 shooting from field, including 5-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Devon Conner-Green added 19 points and a game-high 11 rebounds, while Greg Shadowvine and Marcus Whittaker rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Geoducks with 19 and 10 points respectively.

With the loss, Corban drops to 1-16 overall, 0-6 in Cascade Collegiate Conference action.

Meanwhile, Evergreen improves to 6-10 overall, 3-4 in CCC play.

The Warriors will return to the floor on Saturday, when they conclude their play in the state of Washington with a conference showdown against the Eagles of Northwest beginning at 7:30 PM in Kirkland.
