EUGENE - Oregon hits the road for six of the next eight games. That stretch begins Thursday at Arizona State (7:30 PM PST), and continues Sunday at No. 10 Arizona (5:00 PM PST). FSN will televise both games live nationally. A look at what to watch for: The Pac-10’s top scorer (Aaron Brooks, 18.1 ppg) and rebounder (Maarty Leunen, 10.3 rpg) are currently both Oregon Ducks. With one more win, Oregon will match last season’s victory total (15-18). Oregon’s 14-1 record is its best since the 1937-38 team went 16-1 -- a span of 69 years. Kent Climbing Wins List: Ernie Kent is now just three victories away from claiming the second spot on the UO career coaching wins list. The top four: 1. Howard Hobson, 212, 1936-47 2. W.J. Reinhart, 180, 1924-35 3. Steve Belko, 179, 1957-71 4. Ernie Kent, 178, 1998-present Brooks Makes Mark: Aaron Brooks’ 56-point weekend (31 vs. USC; 25 vs. UCLA, including the game-winner with :13.9 seconds remaining) lifted the senior guard into the Pac-10’s scoring lead, and earned him Pac-10 and Dick Vitale national player of the week honors. The 31 points was a season high and three off his career high. Brooks now ranks in Oregon’s top 10 in assists, steals, three pointers and free throw percentage. Ducks Knock Off No. 1: Saturday's 68-66 win against No. 1 UCLA marked the third time in program history that Oregon has defeated the nation’s top-ranked team. Prior to Saturday, the Ducks’ last win over a No. 1 team was Feb. 16th, 1974, when Oregon upset UCLA 56-51.
