PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers re-signed forward Travis Outlaw to a three-year contract, it was announced Wednesday by Trail Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard.

Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Outlaw, 22, was originally selected by the Trail Blazers with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2003 NBA Draft.

The four-year pro from Starkville H.S. (Miss.) holds career averages of 6.8 points and 2.6 rebounds in 203 games with the Trail Blazers.

“Travis enjoyed what we feel was a breakout season last year on both ends of the floor,” said Pritchard. “His athleticism and high-flying style of play add another level of excitement to the team and we are thrilled to have him back.”

In 67 games last season, Outlaw averaged a career-best 9.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in 22.9 minutes.

He led the team with 74 total blocked shots and logged a career-high 36 points to go with 10 rebounds in the season finale.
