EUGENE, Ore. - Johnny Bowden and Derek Kinzler plated runs with groundouts in the seventh inning as visiting Tri-City held on for a 3-2 victory over Eugene on Tuesday.

Joshua Banda led off the seventh with a single and Brian Lapin doubled him to third.

Bowden's grounder to short scored Banda with the tying run and Kinzler's bouncer to second base enabled Kinzler to come home and gave Tri-City (12-23) the lead.

Dust Devils starter Cory Riordan yielded two runs on three hits in five innings with two walks and a season-high seven strikeouts. Riquy Pena pitched the final 1 2/3 innings for his fifth save.

Eugene (22-13) had taken the lead in the second on Yefri Carvajal's two-run blast, his first of the season. Robert Blauer, who was 2-for-3, scored ahead of Carvajal.

Reliever Matthew Latos (0-2) took the loss after giving up two runs in 2 2/3 innings.
