Portland Winter Hawks Release Pre-Season Schedule

The Hawks’ 72-game regular season schedule should be released publicly in early August.

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Winter Hawks will play in a total of six pre-season games, five of which will be in two pre-season tournaments at the Everett Events Center in Everett, Washington and at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington.

The Hawks, who also played six pre-season games in 2006-07, all out of town, begin pre-season play on August 31 and the final pre-season game will be September 15.

Portland opens its pre-season schedule in the fourth annual Labor Day weekend tournament at the Everett Events Center in Everett, Washington, joining the Seattle Thunderbirds, Vancouver Giants, Chilliwack Bruins, Spokane Chiefs, Tri-City Americans, and the Everett Silvertips.

Portland will play two games.

On Friday August 31, Portland will play Spokane at 3:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 1, the Hawks play the defending Memorial Cup champion Vancouver Giants at 3:00 p.m.

Portland will not play on Sunday, September 2.

Single game ticket prices for the Everett tournament remain unchanged from last year at $10 and fans can save money by purchasing a Tournament Ticket Package for just $50.00 per person (a $40.00 savings over walkup prices) for all nine-tournament games.

Ticket packages for the Pre-Season Tournament go on sale Wednesday, August 8 at 9:00 a.m. at the Silvertips Office, which is located inside the Everett Events Center (corner of Hewitt and Lombard).

Fans may call the Silvertips office at (425) 252-5100 and charge by phone (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover).

Ticket packages will remain on sale through Thursday, August 30 at 5:00 p.m.

Single game tickets for the tournament will also go on sale at the Everett Events Center Box Office on Wednesday August 15 at noon.

Fans can order single game tickets beginning at that time by calling (866) EEC-TIXX or on line at www.everettsilvertips.com

Normal ticketing fees apply if ordering on line for via phone, but plenty of tickets will be available for each individual game for purchase at the door.

The Hawks will also play in a pre-season tournament in Tri-Cities at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington, the next weekend, September 7-9, joining all four other U. S. Division teams – Spokane, Seattle, Everett and Tri-Cities.

Portland will play Spokane at 3:00 on Friday September 7, Everett at 3:00 p.m. Saturday September 8, and Seattle at 1:00 p.m. Sunday September 9.

Fans can save money by purchasing a tournament package, which includes tickets to all six games: Adults for just $ 43 (a $ 29 savings over walkup prices) and Students and Youth (ages 3-17) are only $ 36 (an $ 18 savings over walkup prices). All tickets are general admission.

Tournament packages will go on sale Friday August 3 at 10:00 AM in person at both the Tri-City Americans’ business office and the Toyota Center offices.

Fans can charge by phone (using Visa or MasterCard only) by calling the Americans’ office at (509) 736-0606.

Single game tickets for the tournament are: Adults $ 12, Students (ages 10-17) $ 10.50, and youth (ages 3-9) $ 9.

Single game tickets also go on sale on Friday August 3 at 10:00 AM at the Toyota Center box office and all Ticketmaster outlets at www.ticketmaster.com

Service charges apply, but plenty of individual game tickets will be available for purchase at the door on game day.

The Hawks conclude their pre-season schedule with a single game against Tri-Cities on Saturday September 15 at 7:05 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington.
