PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland State Athletics announced the signing of Courtney Cremer, a 6-foot-3, post player from Stayton, Ore., to a national letter of intent to play basketball for the Vikings. Cremer will be eligible for the 2007-08 season.

Cremer is a two-time first team all-state performer.

She earned first team Class 4A honors this past winter, and helped Stayton to the state championship.

She was a first team Class 3A selection and the Capital Conference Player of the Year in 2005-06.

The Vikings finished 12-18 last season, including 8-8 in the Big Sky Conference.

The 8-8 conference mark was Portland State’s best Big Sky record since going 9-7 in 2002-03, and the Vikings qualified for the Big Sky Tournament for the second straight year.
