Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Sweep Hawks

The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will open their 11th season at home Sunday.

BOISE, Idaho - The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes completed a sweep of the Boise Hawks Saturday night with a come-from behind 9-4 victory.

Sean Van Eldren had three hits for the Volcanoes including key hits in the 7th inning when the Volcanoes erased a four run deficit with a three run rally.

Chad Rathford sparked a three run rally in the eighth inning with a home run to put the game away for Salem-Keizer.

The Hawks now hit the road and open an eight game road trip with five games in Eugene against the Emeralds.

Game time Sunday in Eugene is 5:05 p.m.

The Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will open their 11th season at home Sunday.

The Volcanoes begin Northwest League action versus the Spokane Indians at 5:05 p.m.

Kids get to run the bases following the game.

Gates open at 4:00 p.m.

First 2,000 fans through the gates will receive a free 2007 Volcanoes Magnetic Schedule and Season Ticket holders will receive a special Opening Night Pin and landyard.
