SAN ANTONIO - Bruce Bowen joined San Antonio's "Big Three" to form an unmatchable quartet in Game 1 of The Finals on Thursday.

Bowen, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker scored six points apiece in the third quarter as the Spurs outscored the Cavs 24-14 in the period to pull away en route to an 85-76 win at home and a 1-0 series lead.

After scoring just 15 points combined over the first three quarters, LeBron James and Daniel Gibson scored 15 between the two of them in the fourth to help Cleveland make a charge.

But they never posed a serious threat to San Antonio's lead.

Parker led the way for the Spurs with 27 points and seven assists.

Duncan turned in a solid all-around effort with 24 points, 13 rebounds and five blocked shots. Ginobili came off the bench to post 16 points and eight rebounds.

Gibson posted a team-high 16 points off the bench, while James scored 14 on 4-of-16 shooting from the floor. Drew Gooden added 14 points.

The Cavs will look to even the series in Game 2 on Sunday at San Antonio.
