NCAA Baseball: Oregon State Climbs to #4 in Baseball Rankings

CORVALLIS - Oregon State moved up one place to No. 4 in this week’s USA Today/ESPN national baseball coaches poll.

The Beavers (20-3 overall) have won nine straight games after sweeping San Francisco in a three-game series this past weekend.

In the other rankings released Monday, OSU moved up one spot to fourth in the Baseball America magazine rankings, up two spots to third in the Collegiate Baseball newspaper poll, and up one spot to fourth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.

The Beavers now go on the road for two straight weekends, playing a non-conference series at Cal Poly and then opening Pac-10 play at Arizona.

OSU plays at Cal Poly on Saturday at 6:00 PM, Sunday at 1:00 PM and Monday at 1:00 PM; the Beavers visit Arizona on March 30th at 7:00 PM PDT, March 31st at 6:00 PM PDT and April 1st at noon PDT.

All six games can be heard live on KEJO-AM (1240) in the Corvallis area.

For the series at Cal Poly, KUIK-AM (1360) in the Portland area will carry Sunday’s game delayed at 3:00 PM and Monday’s game live; for the series at Arizona, KUIK will carry the games on March 30th and April 1st live.
