CORVALLIS - Oregon State women’s basketball student-athlete Judie Lomax has decided to transfer, announced head coach LaVonda Wagner on Tuesday.

"We respect Judie's decision to be closer to her family,” said Wagner. “We wish her all the best in her future academic and athletic endeavors."

As a freshman during the 2006-07 season, Lomax averaged 10.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. The Potomac, MD native played in 28 games for the Beavers.

"I would like to thank Coach Wagner for the opportunity to be a part of the Oregon State Basketball program,” said Lomax.

“This experience allowed me to grow and further develop my game. I realize that being close to home and sharing my experiences with my family is very important to me. I'll dearly miss my teammates, the staff and all the good people I've met in Oregon."
