SALEM - Ninth-year Corban head women's basketball coach Terry Williams signed his first set of recruits in six years when he inked four players to letters of intent for the upcoming 2007-08 season, including three local high school seniors and one junior college transfer. Williams, who is making a return to the bench following five seasons away from the helm of the Warriors, signed local high school seniors Natasha Crisman (Sublimity, Ore.), Andrea Greeley (Salem, Ore.), and Katie Stewart (Eugene, Ore.), as well as junior college transfer Margie Lou Correll (Moses Lake, Wash.), to letters of intent making this the first class of recruits that the all-time winningest coach in Warrior women's basketball history has signed as head coach at Corban. Crisman, who was a member of the 2007 4A state championship team and 2006 Capitol Conference champions at Stayton High School, averaged more than 12.0 points per game as a senior. Following her 2005-06 junior season, the 5-foot-4 point guard was named 1st team All-Capitol Conference and 1st team all-region, while earning honorable mention all-state honors. Greeley, who graduate from West Salem High School in 2006, spent last year at Chemeketa Community College as a student and did not play for the Storm. As a Titan, Greeley averaged 14.0 points per game, 12.0 rebounds per game, and 2.0 assists per game. Greeley was a member of the 2-time Valley League champions at West Salem, while be named 1st team all-league and 3rd team all-state as a senior. The 5-foot-9 guard is the all-time rebounding leader in West Salem history, while earning most inspirational and most valuable player awards during her career in a Titan uniform. Stewart, who was a member of the 2007 5A state championship team at Willamette High School, averaged over 6.0 points per game and 2.5 assists per game for the Wolverines this past season. Correll, who comes to Corban following two seasons at Wenatchee Valley College, averaged 9.3 points per game, a team-best 7.9 rebounds per game, and a team-high 3.5 blocks per game this past season. The 6-foot post player was a member of the 3rd place NWAACC post-season tournament team in 2006, while being named to the NWAACC all-star team following her 2007 sophomore season. At the 2007 NWAACC tournament, Correll recorded a triple-double against Lane Community College with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 blocks. Corban will tip off the 2007-08 season on Saturday, November 3rd, when the Warriors host Golden State Athletic Conference member Concordia University-Irvine beginning at 2:00 PM inside the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.
