Oregon Hoops Fans Invited to Selection Sunday Celebration

The Ducks last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2003.

EUGENE - The University of Oregon is inviting all basketball fans to join Duck players and coaches for a Selection Sunday celebration this Sunday at McArthur Court.

Admission is free and the first 1,000 fans will receive free soda and popcorn.

The schedule of events is as follows:

2:00 PM Doors open at McArthur Court

2:30 PM 2006-07 Highlight video

3:00 PM CBS NCAA Tournament Selection Show (60 minutes)

The Oregon marketing department will be giving away 2006-07 basketball posters and will conduct promotional contests throughout the afternoon.

Radio play-by-play announcer Jerry Allen will emcee the event.

The Ducks last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2003, when Luke Ridnour and Luke Jackson led Oregon to the Pac-10 tournament championship and an automatic bid.

The Ducks take on Arizona this Thursday in a Pac-10 tournament quarterfinal game.
