NBA Playoffs: Bulls Avoid Sweep; Force Game Five

Chauncey Billups recorded 23 points and eight assists for Detroit.

CHICAGO - In contrast to Game 3, the Chicago Bulls refused to relinquish a big lead in the second half to the Detroit Pistons in Game 4.

Luol Deng posted 25 points and 13 rebounds and Kirk Hinrich added 19 points and 10 assists as the Bulls avoided elimination with a 102-87 triumph Sunday to cut Detroit's series lead to 3-1.

After the Pistons pulled within seven late in the fourth quarter, Ben Gordon, who scored 19 points, drained a 3-pointer with 3:20 remaining and Ben Wallace sank three free throws shortly after.

Chauncey Billups recorded 23 points and eight assists for Detroit, which was previously 7-0 in this season's playoffs.

Tayshaun Prince tallied 18 points and seven rebounds and Rasheed Wallace had 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Pistons will try once again to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the fifth straight year when they host the Bulls in Game 5 on Tuesday at 8:00 PM ET on TNT.
