Western Oregon to Host West Regionals

MONMOUTH - Western Oregon will host the 2006 NCAA Division II west region baseball championships, beginning Thursday through Sunday, May 18th-21st, at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.

The Wolves earned the No. 1 seed in the west, and will face No. 6 Colorado State-Pueblo on Thursday at 7:00 PM.

No. 2 seed Chico State will square off against No. 5 Fort Hays State in the opening game at noon, while No. 3 Mesa State will play No. 4 Cal State LA at 3:30 PM.

The double-elimination tournament will continue with the same time slots on Friday and Saturday, with the championship contest set for Sunday.
