PORTLAND, Ore. - Prep basketball standout Sarah Eischen of Hillsboro, Ore., has decided to continue her education and compete for the Cavaliers, Concordia University women’s basketball coach Aaron Christian announced today.

Eischen helped guide Hillsboro High School to a 20-3 overall record in 2006-07, leading the Spartans with 12.8 points per game while shooting a team-best percentage of .461 from the floor.

A reliable inside presence, Eischen also led her squad with 10.6 rebounds per game.

A four-year starter and letterwinner, she was named team MVP for three straight seasons and was an all-state honorable mention honoree in 2007.

"Sarah is someone who hasn't reached her full potential yet,” Christian said. “She has good post skills and wants to get even better. She is a great student that exemplifies the term student-athlete. We look forward to having her join the Cavalier program."

Eischen is the daughter of Marilyn and Daniel Eischen. Her family includes three brothers and two sisters.
