PORTLAND, Ore. - Concordia University women’s basketball coach Aaron Christian announced today the signing of Glencoe High School’s Madison Steinmetz (Hillsboro, Ore.).

A 5-foot-9 forward, Steinmetz averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 assists and 5.9 rebounds per game as a senior to cap off her four-year career as a varsity starter for the Crimson Tide.

Steinmetz led the team in scoring in both her junior and senior seasons and was named Metro League honorable mention after her junior campaign. Her senior season was highlighted by NWCO League (first-team) and 5A All-State (third-team) recognitions.

"Madison is someone we see that really fits our program,” Christian said. “She is someone who wants to be here both academically and athletically. She has good moves to get to the basket, but what impresses me the most is her ability to play defense. We look for great things to come with her in this program."
