Kenseth on Pole for NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Race

For the NEXTEL Open, Carl Edwards will be on the pole after turning a lap at 187.487 mph.

- Matt Kenseth grabbed the pole for tonight's NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge with a time of 121.401 seconds during Friday night qualifying.

The No. 17 DeWalt Ford team sizzled with an 11.6 second four-tire pit stop to go with his 3-lap run qualifying run.

Kenseth will be joined on the front row by last year's All-Star Challenge winner Jimmie Johnson.

The green flag drops on NASCAR's most spectacular event at 9:00 PM ET on SPEED.

For the NEXTEL Open, Carl Edwards will be on the pole after turning a lap at 187.487 mph.

Edwards' teammate David Ragan will start on the outside in the race where the top two finishers will move on to the All-Star Challenge.
