Ninth Annual Oregon State Benny Awards Scheduled

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Who is the 2006-07 Oregon State Team of the Year, Athlete of the Year, and Coach of the Year? Who has achieved in the classroom and in the field?

All those and many more questions will be answered at The Ninth Annual Bennys, a celebration to commemorate the achievements of Oregon State University student-athletes from the 2006-2007 academic year.

The event is scheduled for Tues., June 5th and the public is encouraged to attend.

For the first time, both the Training Table Reception and program will be at the LaSells Stewart Center.

The event begins at 5:00 PM with Chef Raul’s “Tasting the Dream of the Everyday Champions” hors d’oeuvres.

The award’s ceremony begins at 7:00 PM at the Austin Auditorium within the LaSells Center with the “Voice of the Beavers” Mike Parker serving as the master of ceremonies.

The semi-formal event is open to the public.

If you wish to attend the reception and ceremony, tickets are $25 and may be purchased through the Beaver Athletic Student Fund at (541) 737-2370.

The ceremony only is free, but a reservation is required.
