AUBURN HILLS, Mich. - The Detroit Pistons began Game 2 just where they left off in Game 1.

Tayshaun Prince recorded 25 points and seven rebounds and Richard Hamilton added 24 and nine as the Pistons dominated the Chicago Bulls from the opening tipoff to the final buzzer in Monday's 108-87 triumph to take a 2-0 series lead.

Detroit racked up 34 first-quarter points, its highest total in the opening period thus far in this year's playoffs, and shot a blistering 53 percent from the floor for the game.

Chris Webber registered 22 points and seven boards, while Chauncey Billups had 14 points and 10 assists.

Reserve Tyrus Thomas poured in 18 points and four rebounds for Chicago, which allowed its opponent to score more than 100 points for the first time in the 2007 playoffs. Luol Deng chipped in with 16 points.

The Bulls hope to steal some momentum away from the Pistons when the two meet in Chicago for Game 3 on Thursday at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN.
