NBA Playoffs: Cleveland Takes Commanding 2-0 Series Lead

CLEVELAND - Game 2 ended very similalry to the way Game 1 did.

The Cleveland Cavaliers hit several pivotal shots in the final minutes and outhustled the New Jersey Nets for every loose ball.

LeBron James erupted for 36 points and 12 assists as the Cavaliers outscored the Nets by nine in the fourth quarter and rolled to a 102-92 Game 2 triumph on Tuesday to take a 2-0 series lead.

Sasha Pavlovic recorded 17 points for Cleveland, which outrebounded New Jersey on the offensive glass by 16 and forced the Nets to commit 16 turnovers. Drew Gooden posted 10 points and 14 rebounds.

Vince Carter, who hurt his calf late in the game but did not leave, shot 10-of-26 from the floor for 26 points, while Richard Jefferson scored 22 points. Jason Kidd added 17 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

The Nets will hope to get back in this series when they host the Cavaliers on Saturday at 5:00 PM ET on ESPN.
