CORVALLIS - A total of 19 Oregon State student-athletes have been named to the various men’s and women’s soccer Pacific-10 Conference All-Academic teams, the league office announced today.

The OSU men put three players on the first team, five on the second team and four on the honorable mention squad.

The Beavers, with 12 players honored, had more selections than any other school (Stanford was second with nine), and it was more than twice as many as OSU has ever had before (five in both 2003 and 2005).

Making the men’s first team were senior midfielder Lucas Egenwall (Falkenberg, Sweden), junior midfielder Brett Gardner (Portland, Ore./Sunset HS) and junior forward Nick Webb (Bellingham, Wash.).

Those selected to the second team were sophomore midfielder Ryan Callahan (Lafayette, Calif.), sophomore midfielder Tracy Hasson (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego HS), senior forward Bryan Jordan (Temple City, Calif.), sophomore defender Daniel Leach (Scarborough, Australia) and junior midfielder Mason Webb (Bellingham, Wash.).

The four on the honorable mention squad were sophomore midfielder Josh Cameron (Gresham, Ore./Centennial HS), junior defender Alex Christensen (Las Vegas, Nev.), sophomore goalkeeper Packy Deenihan (Pleasanton, Calif.) and sophomore defender Joey Loreth (Victoria, B.C.).

Gardner was named to the first team for the second straight year. Jordan earned his third Pac-10 academic honor, while Christensen, Deenihan and Mason Webb each earned their second.

On the women’s side, sophomore defender McKenna Martindale (Lake Oswego, Ore./Lakeridge HS) made the first team, while three others made the second team and three more made honorable mention.

Senior goalkeeper Melissa Onstad (Castro Valley, Calif.), sophomore midfielder Kelsey Provo (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon HS) and junior midfielder Jetta Sadusky (Littleton, Colo.) made the second team.

Sophomore defender Samantha Pabst (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon HS), junior forward Jodie Taylor (Merseyside, England) and senior defender Lauren Wippel (Wilsonville, Ore./Wilsonville HS) were named honorable mention.

Wippel earned her third academic honor, while Onstad and Taylor picked up their second.
