Men's Basketball: No. 14 Georgetown Awaits Undefeated Oregon For Showdown in D.C.

EUGENE - Undefeated Oregon hopes to have 2005-06 top scorer Malik Hairston available for the first time this season when it closes out the month of November by traveling to Washington, D.C., to face No. 14 Georgetown on Wednesday, at 4:30 PM.

The Oregon Sports Network will broadcast the game live throughout the state of Oregon.

You can hear the game in the Salem-area on News-Talk 1430 KYKN AM and in the Portland-area on NewsRadio 750 KXL AM.

Here is a brief look at what to watch for:

The Ducks make their first-ever visit to the Nation’s Capital.

20+ TOs. Oregon has forced the opposition into 20 or more turnovers in four straight games.

The Ducks have out-rebounded the opposition in all five games this season.

Oregon looks to go 6-0 for the first time since 2002-03.

The Ducks rallied from an eight-point deficit in the final minute of regulation Nov. 20th versus Rice, scoring nine points in :37 to tie the game at 66-66, before winning 79-73 in overtime.

Aaron Brooks netted 30 points -- 22 in the second half and overtime -- versus Rice, the second-highest total of his career. Brooks is closing in on 1,000 career points.

Both Maarty Leunen and Bryce Taylor recorded double-doubles in the Rice win.

Both Aaron Brooks and Tajuan Porter have each scored 30 points in a game this season. That’s the first time two different Ducks have had a 30-point game in the same season since the 1991-92 season.

Five Ducks are scoring in double figures through five games.

Adam Zahn has played in 42 consecutive games, the longest such streak on the team.
