Men's Basketball: Pomona-Pitzer Takes Down Willamette, 80-68

CLAREMONT, Calif. - Pomona-Pitzer defeated Willamette University, 80-68, in the second round of the David Wells Classic, co-hosted by Pomona-Pitzher and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Claremont, Calif.

Willamette fell to 1-3 on the season, while Pomona-Pitzer improved to 3-0.

Willamette's first four opponents have achieved a combined record of 19-2, with Albertson suffering its first loss of the season Saturday night at Westminster College (Utah) by a 77-59 score.

The records of WU's opponents: Albertson (5-1), Eastern Oregon (7-1), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (4-0) and Pomona-Pitzher (3-0).

Simon Currie led the Bearcats with 13 points and six rebounds.

Corey Constantino had 12 points, while Rob Andrus chipped in 11 points, while Ian Mansfield had 9 points and 12 rebounds and 4 assists for Willamette.
