Stanford Tops Oregon State, 2-0

OSU comes home to host UCLA on Friday and San Diego State on Sunday.

PALO ALTO, Calif. - For the second straight weekend, the Oregon State men’s soccer team lost 2-0 to Stanford, as the visiting Beavers were beaten in Pacific-10 Conference action on Sunday afternoon at Maloney Field.

There were few scoring opportunities in the game, as Oregon State (5-9-1, 0-7) had only five shots, while Stanford (6-5-3, 4-1-1) had six. The Beavers had a 5-3 edge on corner kicks.

The game was scoreless at halftime, but Scott Bolkan put the Cardinal in front in the 60th minute when he headed in a pass from Galen Thompson. Evan Morgan made it 2-0 in the 75th minute as he scored on a long shot attempt from the left side.
