TACOMA, Wash. - Northwest Conference scoring leader Adrienne Folsom notched her ninth goal of the season in the 73rd minute, lifting the 24th-ranked University of Puget Sound Loggers past the upset-minded George Fox University Bruins 1-0 in a women's soccer match Saturday afternoon here at the East Athletic Field.

Although the Loggers controlled the first half offensively, out-shooting the Bruins 12-2, George Fox goalie Jessica Cardwell made six saves to keep the game scoreless until halftime. The Bruin defense slowed the Loggers down even more in the second half, limiting them to only seven shots, but Folsom finally broke through for an unassisted goal at the 72:52 mark for the only score of the game.

Logger keeper Kallie Wolfer collected one save on the Bruins’ only scoring chance, a shot by last week’s NWC Offensive Player of the Week, Julie Alexander.

The Bruins had four shots all day to 19 for the Loggers.

Cardwell made a total of 10 saves for the Bruins.
