CORVALLIS - Oregon State held onto its No. 10 ranking in the NCAA West Region cross country poll this week. It is the third time in four rankings this season that the Beavers have been in the poll, which is conducted by the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association.

This Saturday, Oregon State will send part of its squad to the Cal Poly Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif., and another contingent to the Cascade Invitational in Portland, Ore.

OSU’s rankings in the West Region poll this season are the first for the Beavers since the school reinstituted its cross country program in the fall of 2004. The Beavers’ win at the Bowles Invitational was their second meet championship after the resumption of the program.
