Chemeketa Plays Hard, Loses Season Opener

SALEM - The Chemeketa Storm played hard in their season opening game, however, the Columbia Basin Hawks played just a bit harder, beating the storm in three games (26-30 / 25-30 / 27-30) Friday at Chemeketa.

Chemeketa played without starting Sophomore Middle Tracie Knowlton who was serving the first of a two game suspension and Sophomore outside hitter Deej

Donaldson who could be out for two weeks or more due to injury.

Leah Gradwhol from North Salem High School lead in digs with 11and 2 aces, Aaryn Lee from Prarie High School in Vancouver,WA. had 2 solo blocks and 6 kills.
